What it shows

Caveats: Union families are merged (e.g. NYS Laborers PAC + locals; IUOE Locals 15/138; IBEW NY PAC + Local 25; NASRCC + NYC District Council of Carpenters); police and correction unions are kept by county. Contributors were found by keyword search of all NYSBOE filings and matched by hand-checked name rules; ambiguous names (e.g. generic “Solidarity PAC”) are left out. Individuals, employers and trade associations are excluded, as are judicial candidates. Congress money covers only unions on FEC top-contributor lists, so it is partial. Party committee amounts come from the committees’ own NYSBOE filings; a candidate’s party is the primary line.
